Welcome to the Taboo Community Bi Weekly Update. In order to keep the community informed of developments and core information, with a high degree of honesty and transparency, this report will be sent out every two weeks. It aims to bring all the various threads and deliverables together in one short and sharp update.
So what has been happening in recent weeks?:
The recent focus of the Taboo project has been to implement improvements to the Marketplace that launched in early June and to release new features. Also ensuring the Taboo Punk claim round 3 has been successfully completed and punks revealed on Opensea and listed on RarityTools. And not to forget, we reached the deadline for becoming a tier 4 member to attend the first ever Taboo Mansion Party due to take place this August!.
Marketplace:
The Dev team have been working hard. The attention has turned from resolving post MP launch issues to working on improvements and new features. The Dev team are performing well, much improved under the direction of Nadeem our CTO. Previous lack of confidence in the Dev team who launched the first version of the Marketplace last year is now replaced by a feeling of confidence in the Taboo Devs and the exciting possibilities moving forward in various areas. However, Please continue to raise any issues you may have with the Marketplace by e-mailing support@taboo.io. Also if you have any improvement suggestions then please e-mail feedback@taboo.io. TabooPunks:
Round 3 of punks claiming has completed over the last two weeks after taking a little longer than planned. The punks have been revealed and were very quickly listed on RarityTools. Overall the floor price for the punks has risen despite a very bearish overall market which is an excellent sign of things to come. Just imagine how these punks could rise in price when the pre and post Taboo Mansion Party marketing kicks in and the live TV interviews take place! Round 3 was the final round of claims, from now on anyone who missed the three claim rounds that took place over two months will need to e-mail Punks@taboo.io to request that they are set up for claiming. Whitepaper:
It’s the same update as the last Bi Weekly update, work on an updated whitepaper is ongoing and the CTO and Devs are now adding content, however, they are juggling various priorities right now. Please be patient a little longer.
Taboo Mansion Party:
The Taboo mansion party will be happening between the 12th and 15th of August. The deadline for becoming a tier 4 holder with at least $10000 of Taboo has now passed and investors who qualify are now being asked to register for the event. This event will include, along with other things, a VIP Party, a super-yacht day trip with models and even a photo-shoot with the Models. This is for top Tier level 4 holders who are holding a minimum of $10,000 of Taboo tokens. It will be very exclusive and an event of a lifetime!. A fully expensed schedule for qualified Tier 4 holders. Recently it has been announced that we will have Lana Scolaro, a very well known DJ with over 1 million instagram followers will be our official mansion DJ!! The promotion/marketing of this event is ramping up, see below for examples and even bigger publications are coming soon.
What is the focus for the next two weeks?
Marketplace development:
Work is still focusing on improvements and updates with new features. Our dev team is hard at work on these features:
Buy Taboo swap / Resell NFTs /Auctions / Google Analytics improvements / UI fixes / News section
These will all be released within a week from now. The features are ready now but additional time is being spent on testing and security, to ensure zero risk. Any staking issues or other Marketplace problems should be raised by e-mailing support@taboo.io. Any feedback or suggestions of Marketplace improvements such as cosmetic and usability improvements should be raised by e-mailing feedback@taboo.io. TabooPunks:
TabooPunks claiming rounds are finished. Claimed punks are revealed on Openseas and listed on Rarity tools. If anyone has missed the three claim rounds then please and want to claim a punk they have purchased then please e-mail punks@taboo.io with evidence of your initial purchase with txn IDs and your wallet address for the claim. Any escalations of TabooPunks issues please DM the Community Manager @MatTabooCM.
Taboo Mansion Party Marketing:
People who have qualified for tier 4 access and an invite to the first ever taboo mansion party should complete the registration form now, please see the link below, you must apply via this form if you qualify and want to attend. Details of the event will be e-mailed to the qualified attendees in the coming week or so. Final details are being put together for what will be an epic event that will go down in history as the first ever Taboo Mansion Party.

Recently our DJ was announced but over the coming weeks lots of video teasers will be pumped out across multiple channels and more articles will be going out via some of the biggest publications in the crypto space.
Whitepaper:
Work is continuing on the Taboo Whitepaper with an aim to get them finished within the coming weeks. CTO and Dev time is needed for the technical parts of the document and conflicting priorities mean that some things are getting delayed slightly. Prioritization is the key thing here and the team are working on the most ‘Token price affecting’ work first. But rest assured the team know this whitepaper is a key deliverable to get done before we enter the next bull market!. Please be patient with us on this.👍
Roadmap:
The Roadmap has been updated on the taboo.io website recently, taking taboo future development into Q1 2023. This Roadmap will also be added into the Taboo whitepaper that is being written.
Certik:
Yes ok, this is becoming a little embarrassing, we keep promising the final Certik audit actions will be done and then the next report comes around and we say the same thing. Ok! Hands up, the final non urgent Certik matters require Dev resources to implement. The devs are full out working on Marketplace features right now so it simply a question of priorities. Operational customer facing work on the Marketplace, so its perfect before the Mansion Party, versus final non urgent actions to get the Certik audit ticked off. That’s not to say the team think getting Certik completed isn’t important, because it is. From now on all we can say is they will be done as soon as possible with the resources we have. Apologies for the delay on this but I hope the community can appreciate the various priorities right now. It will stay in this report as a section of interest until its done.
TabooGirls:
Discussions have begun with a very high profile model. This model is known for her more X rated work. The socials of this model reach over 5 million people! Its early days and nothing is guaranteed but we wanted to share this information with the community. Fingers crossed and watch this space.
Photoshoots:
Ok, so the photoshoot that was loosely planned for July is being put back and will done as part of the Taboo Mansion Party instead. It makes far more sense this way. There will be a full photoshoot at the Mansion Party that invited tier 4 investors can get to witness themselves!.
Also a lot more Marketplace NFT content from previous photoshoots will soon be uploaded onto the taboo.io website in the coming days and weeks.
